The Foundation Television for the Environment (Television Trust for the Environment - TVE of London) is an organization without purposes of profit established in the United Kingdom, in 1984, for the Program of the United Nations for the Environment (PNUMA), the World Fund for the Nature (WWF) and ' Central Television ' of Great Britain. His function is to promote the global concientización concerning topics related to the sustainable development, by means of programs of television and of other audio-visual means (www.tve.org)

TVE has produced more than 700 programs and possesses the most complete environmental video library of the world, specialized in matters of the global environment.

TVE has produced in a successful way, more than 12 projects financed by the FMAM (GEF), making them come to a varied world hearing of 900 million persons, across weekly series expressed by the chain BBC World, named Earth Report (Report of the Earth).

From 1997, TVE recognizes to the Institute Multimedia DerHumALC as his representative and Center of Audio-visual Resources in Argentina. In 1998, contemporary with the accomplishment of the World Conference of the United Nations on Cambio Climático, TVE realized in the city of Buenos Aires his Third Regional Workshop with representatives of almost 20 Latin-American countries. Simultaneously, also there took place in Buenos Aires the Festival II International of Cinema and Video of Human rights, under the direction of the Lic. Julio Santucho and with TVE's organizational contest of London.

Recently, TVE has received support of the European Community and of the Global Environment Facility (GEF - Banco Mundial) for the project called: “Consolidation of a Public and Private System of Representation, for the FMAM (GEF) in Latin America and the Carib: Regional Promotion of the Environmental Global Protection across the Electronic Means of Diffusion.”

This project of communication and diffusion massive Hispanic will be implemented in all the countries, luso and anglo speakers of the Latin-American region and of the Carib. In Argentina, the above mentioned project will be implemented by the Institute Multimedia DerHumALC, under the supervision of his president,Lic. Julio Santucho.

 

There exist persons who work I last the life to be gained, and at the same time they worry for protecting his environment.
And they achieve both aims successfully!

Micro Macro is an offer of communication that promotes managerial pro-environmental projects. Across Micro Macro we promote projects that represent options to manage sustentabilidad economic regional in Latin America and the Carib and simultaneously to protect the environment. We use as channels of promotion the television, Internet, videotapes, leaflets, educational packages, or any audio-visual way that is to our scope .... even the option webcast.

TVE and his 16 organizations associated in the region have as basic aim bring to the screens of all the television viewers of Latin America and the Carib the versions in Spanish, Portuguese and English of the successful histories that individuals have led, communities, groups of women, small, medium and big businessmen; and of that the numerous opportunities have remained formed to achieve the environmental sustainable development, respecting and protecting the great biodiversity that exists in our region.

The series Micro Macro is composed by 16 new programs (of 30 minutes of duration each one), more 60 previous programs (the same duration).

Our interest is these accomplishments and audio-visual materials make come to schools, universities, Congresses, video libraries, ONGes, communities and, certainly, to his own home - showing them in his television.

But as this enormous aim manages?

With the following components:

  • An organization with 18 years of experience in communication and environmental promotion and of sustainable development, worldwide.
  • 16 organizations that are employed at the region of Latin America and the Carib with a space and own achievements at the same work camp.
  • 7 years of regional meetings.
  • 7 years of communication and consultation with 16 organizations associated with TVE in the region of Latin America and the Carib,
  • 7 years of arduous work to achieve the fund raising that they have supported the regional work.
  • 3 years of persistent and emphatic communication with the principal donors of the project Micro Macro: the European Union, the World Fund for the Environment (Global Environment Facility - GEF), the PNUD and the PNUMA (ONU).
  • 15 letters of governmental support, to ministerial level, of the same number of countries in the region.

The project Micro Macro will expire with his aims of the following way :

1. Identifying programs that already exist on the topic that occupies us, and producing versions so much in Spanish as Portuguese and English; as well as an electronic catalogue of these programs.
2. Producing 16 new programs that show managerial successful histories on the management of the environment in every subregion.
3. Creating pages in Internet in three languages that contain pop videos of all the programs, and the audio of the same ones, in order that the users could come out, see and listen to the program that is of his interest.
4. Creating material written to support the audio-visual material and to facilitate the labor of all those persons interested in reproducing the projects that the programs present, in every country of our region, or in any other site of the world.
5. Organizing workshops where they are discussed and divulguen the messages, materials and videoes with the ONG and those governmental, educational and television organizations that have interest to reproduce the projects.
6. Taking advantage of our good relations with the television channels that estarián of yá ready to provide space to us in the air inside his programmatical bars to transmit our productions.
7. Across the regional coordination of four associate organizations:

  • Artevisión-university Simón Bolívar, Venezuela - Coordinator of dubbing to the Spanish of environmental already existing programs with subject matter of sustainable development, together with International TVE and in permanent collaboration with, at least, 16 similar countries in the region.
  • TV Culture, Brazil - Coordinator of production of 16 documentary programs for the documentary series Micro Macro, together with International TVE and with the participation of at least 16 associate countries.
  • Ciceana / Cecadesu, Mexico - Will Coordinate the creation of materials written for Miro Macro and the creation of the Internet site Mike Macro, together with Artevisión and International TVE, as well as the participation of at least 16 countries.
  • The Alphamax Foundation, Guyana - Will Coordinate the Caribbean strategy for production, Internet and the adapted one to the English of the programs of the series Micro Macro, together with International TVE, and at least 10 countries of the Carib of English speech.
Micro Macro already possesses the financial support of the European Community, of the World Environmental Fund (Global Environment Facility - GEF), UNDP and UNEP (ONU); as well as the approval to ministerial level of 15 regional governments...
